Smoothies are a convenient healthy diabetes-friendly option and are easy to make. Choose fresh vegetables like spinach, cauliflower, carrots, zucchini and cucumber,avocados, beetroot, and a dash of ginger and lemon for taste! I even enjoy bitter gourd in a smoothie. Here’s my recipe: 1 bitter gourd, 1 tomato, 1 cucumber, 1 carrot, ginger, lemon and pepper powder. So yum. (yep, no salt) Add 4-5 soaked almonds for extra protein!
